Subscription & billing
Shade Premium is billed through your Apple ID. To manage, pause, or cancel your subscription:
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
- Tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions.
- Select Shade and choose Cancel Subscription or change your plan.
Refunds are handled by Apple. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Account & data
- Delete your account: open Shade → Settings → Delete Account. This permanently removes your profile, photos, and history.
- Sign-in issues: Shade uses Sign in with Apple. If you're stuck, make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID you used originally.
- Restore purchases: open Shade → Settings → Restore Purchases.
Common questions
Why does my detected shade vary between photos?
Tooth shade detection is sensitive to lighting, distance, and camera angle. For the most consistent results, take photos in even, natural daylight with your mouth at the same distance from the camera each time.
Is Shade a medical device?
No. Shade is a cosmetic reference tool that estimates your tooth shade against the Vita Classical scale. It is not a diagnostic tool and does not replace a dental professional.
Does Shade upload my photos?
All AI shade analysis happens on your iPhone. Your photos are stored in your private account so you can compare progress over time. We never sell your data and never train AI models on your content. See our Privacy Policy for details.
I lost my brushing streak / a brush log is missing.
